  We had a meal here on Friday night, having travelled up from Kent to stay over.
  
  I have to say this is probably the nicest Beefeater I have ever been to. The staff were very welcoming and polite and the service was exceptional. They have a very varied menu and our food choices were delivered hot and well cooked - we couldn't fault anything.
  
  Wouldn't hesitate to call back if in the area.

  We have eaten both in the restaurant and had a bar meal. We would not eat in the restaurant again as the food was overpriced and portions very small for the money. The bar food however is reasonably priced and the portions the same size as the restaurant!
  It is child friendly and a relaxed atmosphere

  This Beefeater has an enormous car park, but seldom appears truly crowded except on Sundays. On Sundays, I would recommend you either book, or brace yourself. It would take a brave soul to venture in here on Mothers' Day.
  
  During the week, there are plenty of choices on the good value set menu, including some reasonable vegetarian options. Some of the set menu items are surprisingly good, like the profiteroles with Grand Marnier, which are light and delicate. The staff are pleasant, sometimes motherly, and the pace unhurried. The booths are comfortable and capacious, and make you feel more as if you are dining alone, although if you sit at the far end, the waitress will have to join you at the table to reach you.
  
  The bar has a nice menu including a rather good steak club sandwich with horseradish - great on a chilly day! There are also plenty of snack choices such as nachos.

  Our favourite place to eat, can be a little pricey but if you opt for the set menu its great value for money. The food is good and any problems are handled extremely quickly and i have only ever had this happen once in all the years we have been here. Its child friendly and the staff arent phased if you walk in with six children in tow and they always go out their way to please. The childrens menu has a good healthy choice and is easy on the pocket. Friendly and relaxed would recommend this place to anyone.
